![]() The human conditionA Story by poison&kerosene
We are all terminally ill. This disease is called the human condition. No matter how bias a person may appear, emotions will override logic and fairness. We all live in a very bleak mundane place. Sure, I've never been much of an optimist and their are the given simplistic joys of the world. I've always been a sucker for a night time snow fall or seeing a toddler run into the loving arms of a parent but big picture wise I have deprived myself of the ignorance that keep most people sane. You'd think I would take pride in my realistic and analytical mind set but if I were capable of ridding myself of this thought pattern I would have many years ago. I'm a cynic and I rarely trust people to the fullest extent. Do not misinterpret this as me being some cold introverted person. I hold a love for humanity and empathy like no other. I want people to love themselves and embrace the unorthodox traits they carry because there is such an extreme lack of self conviction in this world that it is alarming. Unfortunately it is in our nature to blend into common society to avoid ridicule and segregation from our peers. It is human nature to suffer and carry burdens that have long passed in our hearts. These things blacken the promise of a better future and prevent mental progress. Some people will never be enlightened by struggles but rather crippled by them. All humans though will feel pain, loss, abandonment, and guilt. All humans will exile unpleasant emotions instead of face them head on. All humans need a damn hug. And that is the common struggle. That is the human condition.
