Locked Away

Locked Away

A Poem by poison&kerosene

I've been smothering my own screams

And pushing myself into the shadows

Locked myself in my own little tower

I'm saving myself from humanity

Here in these secret filled walls

Hides a burden only I could fathom

So not a single foot will tread here

No person seems quite strong enough

I truly don't mind it, I'm safe alone

Nobody will hurt me here anymore

And even though it gets rather cold

This tower is my escape from selfish souls
