Confused

Confused

A Poem by poison&kerosene

I'm trying to untangle you from my heart

Because these tainted memories tear me apart

Resign yourself from me, I hate your voice

But when you need me remember this was your choice

I'm disgusted that I let you fill me with doubt

While you speak with conviction and endless devout.

You are a monster in the most beautful casing

But no matter how horrific I keep chasing

You have me in a bind because I want to walk away

But I refuse to let go and it leads to dismay

So go ahead and give up on me like you do best

Nothing feels as cold as a still heart in your chest.

Wow...I can relate. This is so much like what I've been feeling, but haven't managed to put into words, because I've been...well, confused! I think it flows really well and I love your line "You are a monster in the most beautiful casing". Really great job =]

I loved the rhyming in this, and the title
is aptly put. It always seems we fall victim
to a significant other that doesn't have a
clue and yet we fool ourselves to believe
they will change and that my friend is a
rarity... Nicely done...
