A Poem by poison&kerosene
"

Thank you for letting me be a part of this community

"
Shaky hands grasp for the pen
The heavy heart indulges the paper
The voiceless torment finds its language
Natural Sunlight soaks the grim corners of the mind
Stroke by stoke exposing the heart's shame
Word by word immortalizing the pain
Line by line we are heard

Finally I am heard

Good to be heard dear poet.

I liked the above lines. I carry a book though out three wars. The 100 greatest poems and story. I would love to have one poem worth being carried by someone forever. I enjoyed the poem and thank you for sharing the amazing poetry..

You are welcome dear poet. Me too still. Yesterday I wrote five new poems. In a tavern. I can write.

That's what this place is for. To express yourself to a community of people, expecting nothing in return, and yet seeing feedback from people who understand is a really good feeling. On this site, you'll always be heard by at least a couple of people, if not more. :)

what writers truly aspire toward in their art. To simply be heard. This short little poem has a grand message that should speak to us all in this community. Why we do what we do. A beautiful poem indeed.

"it's" would be "its" in this case.
this is one of the freshest versions on this theme I have read in a long time.
Yes, finally heard...lots of times we are heard, but it is getting a reaction that makes us
feel a part of it all.
We are glad you are with us, Poison.'
