Porcelain Globe

A Poem by poison&kerosene

The world encapsulated in her peridot eyes

Glistening atop fluttering lashes

She speaks of humanity with fervor

Believing in kindness and comradery

Many have tried to seize her vision

Their squalid hands grip her dreams

She remains firm in her gospel truth

Smother the fires of cruelty and malice

Plant seeds of purity in their stead

Many mistaken her for weak

But love will always overpower hate

Porcelain can be fragile, as we know this world can be fragile. It can be difficult to counter malice with love and yet it is the only way to make a difference.
Hate is a powerful emotion ... one that is too easy to succumb to. It must be fought hard ... a kind word can go a long ways.

I like this one p&k. The message is one that needs to be promoted more.

I'm big on titles because it's the first thing you see and this grabbed me. I can dive into that fragility and relate. Our vision is our own and it can be hard to wrestle that away from others. Strength is the final stand. Great writing.
