Snow Day Lovers

Snow Day Lovers

A Poem by poison&kerosene

A snowflake promenade above our heads

We watch them sway into descent

They meet as one atop the ground

We follow suit and fall unbound

Cheek to cheek, a roseate flush

Bitten by winter’s wicked touch

We pay no mind to blistering cold

As the fire in our hearts melts us whole

This is time well spent on snow days! The warmth is even more special on the coldest days, when everything feels remote and unsettling. Another good poem.

You’re welcome.
I picture two lovers on a snowy eve disregarding the cold, falling backward hand in hand to make snow angels.
The flush of love keeping them warm.

Well done p&k

"As the fire in our hearts melts us whole"... Yes, that fire of LOVE between two people is like no other! Good inciteful writing, p & k.
