Stranger Staring BackA Poem by Emily Dickinson Jr.This about seeing who you truly are. Not what eveyone else sees or your perception of yourself but the real truth. It's about accepting yourself :-) read it plz
Such beauty I have never seen Huh! that's me? It can't have been
I've never been a sight to see You want a picture Really? yes! Of me? I never guessed
I still can't see How that face Could really be me
I look again My belief denied Yet my hope is sprung I am suprised
The gown of blues And golds and greens Has shown me such Amazing things
Then its ripped It's shown a dream
The face has cracked It looks real mean
My dress is torn My throat swells My tears ....
Im afraid This was My greatest fear
It wasn't me How could I think That I was ever On the brink Of love and awe beauty and more
So now I sink Unto the floor While she sneers "look at her"
And then it stops I know its me
All the beauty and the ugliness That I see
So I sink upon my knees And say "I see." Content to know That both are me
