Viney Lace

A Poem by Clarisse Nanoit
"

For Pagemaster's contest #11 (I think that's the right contest... lol)

"

Rooted in the infamy of a neverending strength,

the pain of being shunned from the mainstream stains his face.

Nothing can compare to the constant, stinging knowledge

that you shall never find your place, your space, your saving grace.

The sorrow that surely follows everywhere you go

will always succeed in its cruel, cruel chase.

And misery of knowing nothing will ever change

makes it harder to keep running this marathon race.

His arms long to hold on to another that loves him,

but loneliness is all he has ever had to embrace.
