Something Better

Something Better

A Poem by Clarisse Nanoit
"

"You're worthy of a love that's worthy of you..." -unknown

"

Anger boils at the mention of a name.

Your temper flares like a dancing flame.

You breathe your hatred into the phone,

and for once, I'm glad that you are gone.

Same old jokes, but not the same you.

Your love for me is gone from view.

The littlest things set you off.

My innocent silence is all your fault.

I used to long for the way things were.

Now those days are all a blur.

All I can see is what you've become,

and I won't partake of your disillusions.

Thanks for reminding me of what I'm not missing.
