In The Last Year

A friend of mine that I haven't talked to in about a year asked me what's happened to me in that year, I responded, "Well, not a lot has happened, but I have changed A TON..." and the rest of what I said came out as a poem... this poem.

I've loved

and lost

and coped

and scoped

and frowned

and found

and smiled again,

all the while remembering

what everything was like back then...

I suppose we all lose from time to time. But I suppose it's how we cope with it that counts and you capture a positive reaction to it in this poem. It's the best way to be and shows how we can bounce back. But also we must not forget our experiences. They are after all part of us.
