Without Him, I Am Still Everything

Without Him, I Am Still Everything

A Poem by Clarisse Nanoit
"

Finding a place to set my feet... Maybe I can stand again soon. FINGERS CROSSED! cover art coming soon...

"

I'm done...

...living comfortable phone call to comfortable phone call.

... craving worthless compliment after empty flattery.

...holding biterness (even hypocritically).

... crying over a closed book.

...lusting after one who's done with my existence.

I'm moving on...

... to an independent life.

...to smiles and winning friends back.

... to find someone who needs me, too.

...to building new memories (all the while swallowing old ones for another time).

... to remembering who I am without him.

You are strong like I knew it! =] Guys sometimes, or most of the time, can be such a pain in the butt!!! I wish life wasn't so dramatic.

There were some areas I would change in here. Like the second line doesn't flow too well with the rest of the poem. and hypocritically. you forgot an i. =]

and you most definitely got the poitn across.

the title is awesome by the way.

=] nicely done. feel that independence and that feminine power!

I feel like I need to stable this to the front of my notebook and make it my mantra for a while to come. The lines: crying over a closed book. is amazing. Just the idea and the connotation is amazing. And the second stanza is so hopeful, makes it seem like everyone can get through it ok.
