The Last Of Tears

The Last Of Tears

A Poem by Clarisse Nanoit
"

cover art coming soon... This is a poem that asks everything I need to to know the answers to in order to get closure... unfortunately, the person I need the answers from is unwilling to listen to my questions, so I'll have to get over this on my own...

"

Why, please tell me,

did you let me love you

when you could drop me so easily?

Why, when you felt me squeeze your hand,

didn't you whisper to me

a warning?

If your love for me was just so fickle

that you could quit me cold turkey

then why ever start me in the first place?

If I'm so easy to forget,

then why ever waste

the first thought on me?

...with the help of friends. If you're a praying person, I ask, unassumingly, for yours. :P Sorry, this poem feels a bit incomplete to me, but I like to think of it as a literary device. That's exactly how I feel when I think on this... like I can't think of what to say next.
