I Didn't Want To Say This

I Didn't Want To Say This

A Poem by Clarisse Nanoit
"

The title says most of it. This thought has been pounding away at my brain for a couple of days now. I really can't take it anymore. I have a feeling that heartbreak is impending...

"

Usually

Your every kiss hushes my doubts

Our every embrace slows my heart down

That's how it's been the past few weeks,

but I'm gaining vision of something unseen

Something tells me something's wrong

Even when we're just on the phone

When we're together, are you looking at me

and thinking of her, wishing that's who I'd be?

Could it be that I'm just a plug for your wound,

that your interest is tainted by the falling moon?

Just one question of mine refuses to be deterred...

How can you be mine if you are still hers?

The demons of our past haunt us and it hard to forget past loves. It takes time and it is not easy. I know this far to well. I love this poem the flow was great and I loved your simplistic rhyme scheme. You are a wonderful writer and I love you work.

p.s. Its good to be back, I've missed you.
