Walk Right InA Poem by Clarisse NanoitSomething "spoken-word" I just cooked up.Welcome, welcome. Come on in. I would say that I've been waiting for you all day, but that would be a fib. In fact, I can't quite get you to go away. No... stay; please stay. You're welcome to be here, but I'm not quite sure I want you here. You see? No. Of course not. I'm torn. I want you to go away, but I'm so happy when you're here. You entered through my ear, Before I know it, you'll have been here a year. Gosh. Won't you just steer clear from here? I believe there's an exit at the rear of the building, but I doubt you'll find it. I blocked it off. I just couldn't bear to see you leave, I guess. God, my mind is such a mess. Of course, you are dancing around up there all day. No... stay; please stay. The pleasure center's just really confused by your dwelling. My senses are heightened, my senses are failing. My good mind is hiding, and my smarts are all bailing. I'm mumbling and fumbling and rambling and dying. Oh, I just want something up in my mind besides you. Don't get me wrong. You're awesome, or you wouldn't be there in the first place, it's just that all I can see all day is your face. I need some space for my other thoughts. I need to remember some things I forgot. Oh, fine then. Have a happy seat. I'll just accept (with a smile) my great/rotten defeat. © 2008 Clarisse NanoitAuthor's Note
