UPSIDE DOWN WORLD.

UPSIDE DOWN WORLD.

"

If the sky was green and the land was blue,

would it become an upside down world?

If war was at peace and peace was at war,

would the world become a better place?

would there be more  love to embrace?

If animals were more human and humans more animals,

would the animals make our world a better place?

would they put the world to right instead of the greed we face?

If beauty was ugly and ugly more beautiful,

would we look more deeply  for the love inside the soul,

instead of looking at face value where ugliness does not show?

If birds were the solo artist and humans the backing choir,

would the songs be more uplifting and take us more higher?

If the lonely were loved and the loved left on their own,

would more appreciation be stirred from our bones?

instead of taking for granted and shield from the unknown?

If the hate was blended into the love of life that our maker has sown,

would it balance our world and nobody would feel their above,

Working together instead of the unbalance of jealousy and distrust.

If the poorer were more wealthy and the wealthy more poor,

would the poor be there to balance the world instead of counting their gold,

and what if mars was the planet of love and venus the planet of war?

as they have been marked as, to everybody that we know.

If the sun was the moon and the moon the sun,

with the moon catching fire and the sun dwindling into just a glow,

would the earth change to become..............

AN UPSIDE DOWN WORLD.

i would like to see an upside down world...and if all of these could change places...it would be interesting to see how different everything would be.

or would it?

"walk a mile in my shoes"

as joe south sang...it is always good to look at things from the opposite side, i think it would make us much more tolerant.

Very thought provoking poem. The essence of a liberal arts education.
