ANGER

ANGER

Peeling back the history of a complexed facing  fear,

seeking the answers of the question of why, buried in the sand,

hidden away by encrusted imperfection as days goes by,

lost in the tunnels of darkness so they are registered blind,

and cannot escape their way up, locked  in the prison of ones mind,

till the present evolution, to excavate and find answers new,

and  unveil the problem with a fresh and calmer point of view.

free now from disease that fed the darker side of each bad thought,

that strangled the presence in keeping at bay, a disaster that was not forwarned.

Flaring up in tingling feelings, while choking back from the distorted spoken lines.

as to argue the reason was strangled in the smoke of the raging storm,

The wind of the mind was blowing from all different directions,

so reasoning hid buried deep till it could seek solace until once again on its feet find.

while patience was waiting for the light to cross over the forbidden border line.

Basking in the warmth of the glow to melt away the icicles from the darker side of me.

to rebalance and set the devilish intruders that had visited my thoughts unwelcomly, free.

to pester someone else and to leave me to be ........

                                                SIMPLY ME.

The following lines from the poem convey the hopelessness and destructive nature of anger:

"reason was strangled in the smoke of the raging storm"

"while patience was waiting for the light to cross over the forbidden border line."

Each line reinforcing the others and all converging to convey the final thought, the hope of the poet! Great poetry and thanks for sharing.
