DREAMS

Dreams washed away by the changing tide,

On a remote island lost and unable to find,

Miles away washed to a distant shore,

Maybe it’s on a journey to parcel up and send,

Fresh dreams as the others have all gone stale,

To where I am alone waiting with a prayer,

As the sea laps on the cooling sand as I stare,

Out to the distance like a trusting friend,

That it will find me and ignite my spark,

Of positivity sealed in a bottle that I only can see,

As its journey across the storms was only meant for me,

The low voice of the sea calling out my name,

As special delivery skimming to me on the waves.                                                         From distance places in the hope the addressee be found.

The winds speeding with crests of rollers following its star.                                         With the power like its contents as I dream am I really there,

Or burying my head in the sand while I should be looking more,

On solid ground my sights realistic and waiting within myself,

To be freed as the whole world is within reach for me to be me
