Red Rivlets Where the Sun Doesn't Shine

Red Rivlets Where the Sun Doesn't Shine

A Poem by mae-mae<3

They look like cat scratches

Down my fore-arms

And Across my thigh

They look like paper cuts

Accidental in the least

Excuses for the scars

That the blade has left behind

Questions asked

But never really answered

Red rivlets seeping down through the cracks

Staining as they go along

Every slice

And every scar

Has a reason in it's throng

To explain the pain

Seeing the blood flow

Slowly, slowly

Again and again

Feeling overwhelmed with adrenaline

Gives me a reason to do it again

Crazy glint in the eyes of the insane

That's the look I bare

That's the feeling, the burden

But I guess I'll just have to endure

After all, I really have no choice

Do I?
