Courage To Repeat the VictoryA Poem by poetryexistenceCourage to repeat the victory The victory is yours if you desire This stage that you call home May not be the garden for which you wished Maybe all that was yours perished in the fire Of your soul and being, Maybe all that you ever wanted was just ash And how will you know? What the future holds? Ashes or remnants of your being. Water is life, fire is death Death by drowning or warmth of life The choice is never ours Hostile life or terrible death. Never look far in time It may mislead you You can’t change what cannot be changed Delightful sorrows that are offerings of time. So can the grandeur of the loss Be repeated? And can The empty victory be forgone? Maybe what we really have is the courage of loss.
