Pure Act

Pure Act

A Poem by Fuego31
"

Written on 4/23/13 around 11pm. This has nothing to do with how I feel. I just wanted to give a new emotion with my work, one not based on my own emotions, but a feeling that I could create and mold.

"
It had rained for days on end,
No sunlight escaping through the clouds
In her room there was no need to pretend,
That she had in her mind no doubts

The room was dark,
The air felt cold today
Just another reminder,
Of her existence on her bed where she lay

The drops pounded on the windows,
Obscuring every sight
The wind howling because it knows,
She won't get sleep tonight

Her computer sat untouched,
Buzzing with wasted power
Displaying messages she had read,
And cried over for an hour

No words of kind thought,
Had shown themselves on screen
Only words from girls around,
Who had bought the rights to be mean

Her friends had all abandoned her,
They believed those filthy lies
How could they think it would occur
That she'd give herself to all those guys?

She'd turned them down,
When they came to call
Came to their face an unwelcome frown,
And they resolved to make her bawl

She heard a sound from her phone,
She was getting a call
From her friend to leave her alone,
She cancelled their plans for the mall

A tear fell from her nose,
To her rough pillow case
She just thought, "There it goes,
My life is a waste"

She reached under her bed,
And pulled out a shard of glass
A few lines made her skin red,
She was ashamed at being thought so crass

The blood soaked the sheets,
Then puddled on the floor
Her heart's pounding beats,
Brought her parents to the door

They rushed her to some help,
While she told them she'd give
Them her last dying breath,
She didn't want to live

They sealed up her wounds,
Patched her up tight
She felt like a loon
On this cold sleepless night

The next day came,
She just wanted to go
Back to feeling lame,
In her room all alone

But a boy came,
Who she'd seen before
He was the same,
As the boy who'd sold candy door to door

"I saw the sadness in your eyes,
Yesterday when you left school.
I thought I'd come as a surprise,
A happy thought in this world so cruel"

For the first time she smiled,
With a light in her face
This boy had reconciled,
Her with a pure act of grace

About
Sometimes I just write on random imagination and thoughts, but I mostly write what's inspired by my strongest emotion at that given moment. I've been been writing since I was 13 and I'm currently 24. .. more..
