Enough!

I had put up with my friend doing this for too long. I just couldn't take it anymore. 12am 12/7/12

Nothing I do,
Is enough for you
Everything I go through
And not even a please or thank you

You put me through Hell
My thoughts always dwell
Knowing you are far from well
My head is in a ringing bell

It's ridiculous each day
You always find a way
To sadden me with what you say
You bring me in them push me away

I can't do this anymore
The rain from your eyes is a constant pour
Sometimes you're a bit of a w***e
This is not what friends are for!

Of your games I've had enough
Mentally things are just too rough
Your head is always filled with fluff
I cannot keep going through this stuff

I'm your friend and always will be
One day maybe you'll finally see
There is a chance for you to be free
And for happy things is when you'll need me

But for now you just have to stop
Both of our heads are going to pop
I don't want our friendship to flop
But one of these days we're both going to drop

Enough with the game
It's always the same
There is nothing the winner can claim
And we keep feeling blame

Help to you God will send
Stop the talk of making your life end
There would be too many broken hearts to mend
To you I will always my heart lend

Just....enough

Author's Note

I just needed to vent my frustration. I've known him for a year and a half, which is a lot longer than most people would put up with things he's said. I'll still talk to him, but he's putting me under too much pressure and I need to think of myself before I collapse. I hope I don't sound like a jerk.

That one person always trying to create a competition and suck you into there petty games, this hits close to home because of a recent friendship that's started going south. I understand your pain, your frustration, and trust me, you don't sound remotely like jerk, just a frustrated friend. Thanks for sharing

He's put an enormous amount of stress on himself, though he cannot help all of it. But I'm the one person who has stuck around for him and he'll show me anything he's feeling...I just can't support all of his weight anymore. You're welcome :)

You don't sound like a jerk at all! I think a lot of people can actually relate to this piece very well. I don't know how you managed to rhyme all four ending words in each stanza... I would have gotten a headache figuring all that out. Well done!

As you'll see from my first several poems, rhyming was what I started with until my later introduction to freestyle. So rhyming is actually easier for me than any other style, and the words just pop into my head. It became more challenging in the 6th stanza. Thank you very much!
