Red Rover

Red Rover

A Poem by Fuego31
"

When you think someone will solve your problems, and they only exacerbate what's already there

"
The best memories,
Now turn to pain
When I see your face,
And remember your name
what we had,
Was nothing at all
Even though,
Oh so hard I did fall
I know your game,
But I don't know your rules
So now I am glad
I was not truly one of your fools
Moving on
Is no easy feat
Because from the start,
You had me beat
My heart has been trampled,
Twisted and crush
But did you care?
You seemed a bit rushed
Whatever,
It's over
Your time has passed,
Do not call my name...for red rover

Author's Note

Fuego31
This poem is based on the game Red Rover, where you announce someone to come to your side and break through the line. The person I wrote this about liked to ask me to come over when times were convenient for them, but they were often inconvenient for me, and they would snap at me for it.

About
Sometimes I just write on random imagination and thoughts, but I mostly write what's inspired by my strongest emotion at that given moment. I've been been writing since I was 13 and I'm currently 24. .. more..
