The DarknessA Poem by Fuego31Life was in full swing complication. See if you can figure out what I'm really talking about.
The darkness in my room can't swallow me,
My music keeps me safe But what can protect me from my thoughts? Distractions can only do so much, and they are only temporary I am constantly in my head, A library of disorganized books with thirsty readers A swimming pool with objects randomly floating about Water temperatures that represent my moods Save me from this confusion I need it to make sense I normally understand myself, But that one concept torments me How can I escape it?? It won't leave me alone This darkness cannot be lit, my lights burn out in seconds When I try to figure out what it is This darkness is like an undercurrent in an ocean of familiarity The current, the darkness, I don't know what to do when I'm in it As God once said, "Let there be light" To weaken this darkness so I can handle it © 2013 Fuego31Author's Note
