The Race (the storm)

The Race (the storm)

A Poem by Fuego31
"

I actually wrote the date on this one: 2/27/09. I was in study hall and had a sudden inspiration for this poem, though it's almost like a short story. Pay close attention, it has a double meaning.

"
1)The wind whispers through the sleeping trees.
Creating harmonious tones in the emerald light
2)It jogs through the forest,
Ringing bells disturbing the trees from their slumber
3)A marathon has begun,
The towers of wood shaking with rustled cheers
4)Billowing signs int eh sky announce the event,
Limbs wave in the excitement,
Collapsing under the stress
the air is rushing with racers trying so hard to win
Breaking point now
One mistake and all is lost!
5)The tree line is broken
A winner is announced
6)The gales begin to scream with victory
7)The sky is aflash with fireworks
8)Gems glitter from the fans in their hard boxed seats
9)The creatures in the basement below hear the noise
Grass tumbles
10)The wind comes to a slowed jog and stops
The fireworks have ceased but the smoke remains
The exhausted trees go back to sleep
All is calm

explanation
1. rumors of the race

About
Sometimes I just write on random imagination and thoughts, but I mostly write what's inspired by my strongest emotion at that given moment. I've been been writing since I was 13 and I'm currently 24. .. more..
