Dantes Peak

Dantes Peak

A Poem by Fuego31
"

This is based on the movie of the same name.

"
A happy little down,
Holding it's own crown
Just hopes for the best,
forgets about the rest
High in the mountain a dark secret does loom,
The volcano Dantes Peak is ready to bloom
She coughs and splutters and open her eyes,
waiting readily to claim her prize
People assume,
And it spells their doom
She clears her throat and tosses smoke miles high,
People look to her with no idea why
She shivers and shakes with stiffness and sleep,
Sending people below scurrying like frightened sheep
Walls are crashing to the ground,
Terrifying people with every crack and split sound
She's spitting out magma that she's chewed up,
And more is being thrown up
She's cleared her throat and ready to sing,
The clock will not much longer be ticking
She begins to sing with a deafening roar
Destruction is what the town's fate has in store
The fiery cloud,
Wiping out the town like dirt on a broom
So much for that sad little town
Now you see nothing when looking down and around

About
Sometimes I just write on random imagination and thoughts, but I mostly write what's inspired by my strongest emotion at that given moment. I've been been writing since I was 13 and I'm currently 24. .. more..
