Your love is the enemy

Your love is the enemy

A Poem by Poetry Cat
"

Someone who loves somebody as much as love can extend but that person goes through too much pain and weary to hold the tie that means the world.

"
We meet as the tension dares us close.
Sleeping under the stars;
Not knowing I would end up being morose.
You were as beautiful as mars.
Although, in the end, there would be scars.
You were my person.
We were drawn by the love of cigars.
Our ties began to worsen.
I have put in too much exertion.

It sounds to me like the rhymes are a bit forced in this. I think an elimination of line seven and some shifting around of lines might help. :))

I didn't realize that. Sorry. I think it could still use some touching up, though. :)))
