Ring Mom!

Ring Mom!

Ring Mom.

Its time for bed my little son.

You’ve had a very busy day.

Now daylight’s fading fast away.

The time for play has almost gone.

I can recall from long ago.

I used to read you fairy tales

Tucked up in bed as the light fails.

I loved to watch you drifting slow.

Into a deep and peaceful sleep.

But you grew up too quick it seems.

And spread your wings to chase your dreams.

Now as I watch the shadows creep.

I listen for the telephone

which doesn’t ring I am alone.
