Why should we fear to dream?

I know some people do.

They fear ghosts from the past.

Things they want to forget.

Are memories that last.

 

Why should we fear to dream?

Some have good reason to.

Flash backs which can upset.

Our hard earned peace of mind.

Because we can’t forget.

 

Why should we fear to dream?

We know we need to sleep

But we fear the nightmares.

Our minds can conjure up

to catch us unawares.

 

Why should we fear to dream?

We know that we should not

And yet it’s true we do.

This is reality.

We can’t deny it’s true.
