That’s Life.

I am not quite an antique yet.

Though I admit to being old.

I have done things that I regret.

Some secret sins best left untold.

When I look back I clearly see.

Mistakes I made through ignorance.

The times I acted foolishly

Sometimes compelled by circumstance.

At other times I went astray

Driven by curiosity

I chose to go my own sweet way.

Ignored advice deliberately.

Now in the autumn of my years

I find my regrets disappear.

' I am not quite an antique yet. ~ Though I admit to being old. ~ I have done things that I regret. ~ Some secret sins best left untold. ' And then it has that wonderful last line!

Yet again your poetry impresses me with its sweetness and humour .. makes a change from so much of the heavy stuff (can put up a guilty hand) You take readers back to the days when the English language held prime place .. and you still fly the flag. Thank you so much
