A pleasant stroll

A pleasant stroll

A Poem by poeticpiers

A pleasant stroll.

The narrow road was shaded by.

A canopy of trees which met

Overhead. So that you could not see.

A great deal of the open sky.

A few stray sunbeams filtered through.

Creating pools of radiance.

Along the verge wild flowers grew.
Perfumed the air with sweet fragrance.

This had been a busy road.

Until they built the motor way

More suited to the heavy load

of traffic that goes by today.

It serves a useful purpose still

For those of us with time to kill.
