Opting Out.

 

He longs to stay but wants to go

And dithers in between the two

Because he simply does not know.

Which of the two is best to do.

He’s paralysed he can’t decide.

There’s pros and cons on either side.

He knows he can’t refuse to choose.

Between the two conflicting views.

Then suddenly he sees the light.

There is no need for flight or fight.

He thinks it best to wait and see.

What fate decides will come to be.

Not his responsibility

To interfere with Fate’s decree.
