Ingratitude

Ingratitude

A Poem by poeticpiers

Ingratitude.

When morning breaks it’s time to raise.

Our voices and sing hymns of praise

To the creator who supplies

The beauty displayed to our eyes/

Changing with the changing light.

Which serves to whet our appetite.

For beauty which we fail to see.

Because we’re striving constantly.

To stay ahead in the rat race.

Terrified we lose our place.

We don’t take time to praise the lord.

We are convinced we can’t afford.

To waste out time and energy.

In singing praises reverently.

As always, a very fine piece of writing, and with a special message.
