Overwhelmed!

Overwhelmed.

The sun breaks through the overcast.

The rain drops cease to fall at last

The ground below is soaking wet.

The streams and rivers overflow.

A summer that I shan’t forget.

Though I’ve seem thunderstorms before.

This sudden storm was different.

I’ve never seen such a downpour.

As if the cloudburst was intent.

On wreaking havoc randomly.

On anything and everything.

Which it did successfully.

The rising waters damaging

Property with impunity.
