Little Guy Big Heart.

Little Guy Big Heart.

A Poem by poeticpiers

Little guy, big heart.

Though he was challenged vertically.

He frequently claimed victory.

Excelling at his chosen sport.

He knew he was much stronger than

 Almost every other man.

That he might although they thought.

They could beat him easily

His strength and his agility.

Would overcome their best effort.

Though he was barely five feet tall

Size seemed to matter not all

Because he won each bout he fought.

When he retired unbeaten still.

Reluctantly against his will.

He still commanded much support.

But age creeps up on every one.

His glory days are long since gone.

But I am happy to report.

At eighty four he’s doing well

His heart as sound as any bell.

Of all the battles that he fought.

Old age is proving hard to beat.

But he will not accept defeat.

He’ll fight as he has always fought.

Though he will lose eventually

He won’t surrender easily.

Won’t even entertain the thought.

Very nice poem. I really enjoy the fact that you show how being challenged by height. Doesn't mean that you have to give in to any pressures of the word and also that you can still win despite the fact. Great work!
