Away

Away

A Poem by Kollin Lore

This woman in front of me,

she looks so at ease.

Contemplative, taking in

the cool autumn breeze.

She seems to be free of thought,

Free of emotion.

She absorbs what’s ahead of her,

the clear blue ocean.

Calm, endless,

melting into the sky.

She is completely oblivious to

to all the people passing by

A journal lies beside her,

as she dangles a pen in her hand.

And she remains still,

sprawled out on the warm sand.
