I remember that day

When she walked into the classroom

In the moments before I was feeling down

But seeing her rid myself of all that gloom

Something about those eyes

Her eyes just left me in a trance

Something in the way she moves,

How is it possible to feel love at first glance?

 

I’ve had feelings for a person many times

But these feelings, these feelings are true

A connection I’d never felt before

Does she feel it too?

 

Weeks later, and now that I know her

There is so much to say

So much added on

To the feelings I felt that first day

 

She feels the same pain that I do

Of not being able to relate to anyone

She loves many of the bands that I love

She’s a guitar-playing tomboy, just a bundle of fun

She is an avid reader

And is very articulate and expressive

She just says things the way they are

Neither positive or negative

She says she tries to be invisible

But to my eyes she sticks out in the crowd

 

 

What makes it all the more special

Is that this is all no surprise

I knew she was the one

The very first time I looked her in the eyes

Everything about her

Makes her the type of woman I could live with till the end

But four words ruined it all

“I have a boyfriend”…
