Forbidden.

Rondeau variation.

Ask me no more. I may not answer thee.

For I am dead and thou art still alive

And yet I know when thou dost think of me.

Give up thy foolish dreams and cease to strive.

Ask me no more.

Ask me no more what my answer would be

There is no answer I’m allowed to give

Consign me to the depths of memory.

Abandon grief thou knowest I’ll forgive.

Ask me no more.

Ask me no more I cannot possibly

Find any means by which I can contrive

Communicate and end thy misery

Whilst I am dead and thou art still alive.

Ask me no more.

Very nicely done. It's like the style of the Old Masters. You skill shines in this very enjoyable poem.
