Improbable possibility

Improbable possibility

Improbable possibility.

I’d like to live close to the sea

But somewhere warm preferably.

Perhaps because I’m growing

I cannot tolerate the cold.

Although I love my home country

It’s rarely warm enough for me.

Unless I win the lottery

There is no way that I can see.

I can afford to go where the sun

 Shines equally on everyone.

The cold and damp do not suit me.

My aching joints reminding me

  At every opportunity

creaking and groaning constantly.

I love the cold and snow. We don't get much cold in Mississippi. But I believe this is a very relatable poem. Nicely done!
