Decision Time(Fiction)A Poem by PoeticpiersA poem in tripletsDecision time. I stood alone on In the dark hour before the dawn And contemplated suicide. All of my hopes and dreams were dead I was frustrated and forlorn. This was my moment to decide. To end it now or try instead To think I could be reborn. I knew somehow way deep inside.
I watched the new day being born The sunlight shining on the tide. Which prompted me to look ahead. Follow the example of the dawn. I became certain if I tried. I could begin to plan ahead Discarding ideas now outworn. Banishing thoughts of suicide. Today we visit No longer lonely and forlorn But with my partner by my side. I found new hope at In that dark hour before the dawn. I can look back with modest pride.
Though quickly past three years have fled. To the day hope was reborn And I rejected suicide. Friday, 06 January 2012 http:// blog.myspace.com/poeticpiers © 2012 PoeticpiersReviews
