Clear Choice

Clear Choice

Clear Choice.

The mountain mists are clean and sweet.

Unlike the city smog below.

Where traffic fumes and smoke compete

To really slow the traffic flow.

Though mountain mists conceal the view

It’s only till the sun is high

They disappear like morning dew

Or the faint echo of a sigh

I may be odd but I prefer

To live up here close to the clouds

Than in a grimy city where

I am just one amongst the crowds.

Who never see the stars at night

And very rarely see blue skies

Because the smog blocks out the sight

of what they would see otherwise .

The neon lights pollute the night

And choking smog pollutes the days.

But I can see the twinkling light

of stars by night. I’m glad to say.

What could the city offer me?

But constant noise and busy crowds.

Which really don’t appeal to me

I am happier close to the clouds.

My friend, if heaven is in the clouds then I'm very close to hanging out. I love the work but at times I thought the verses ran together a little. That did not take away from the images at all and that is what I liked the most.
