There was a time.

 

Arise my love and come with me.

Before the dawn and we shall see.

The sunlight paint the eastern skies

Rising from beneath the sea.

 

Just you and I by dawns first light

Can wander to our hearts delight.

Let nature’s beauty fill our eyes

As night retreats without a fight.

 

A muffled snore is your reply

I understand new rules apply

I recognise it would be wise .

To let my sleeping partner lie.

 

You leave me little room for doubt.

Romantic morning walks are out.
