A Poem by Poeticpiers
"

sonnet in tetrameter

"

Unintended result.

A spider web bedecked with dew.

Is transformed when the sun shines through.

For those who have the eyes to see.

Into a piece of jewellery.

The dew drops sparkle brilliantly

And split the light prismatically

Into every shade and hue.

The spectrum holds as prisms do.

Though we appreciate the sight.

I do not think the spiders do.

They have to wait until sunlight

evaporates the morning dew.

.

It was intended to catch flies.

Instead the web has caught our eyes

I appreciate your vivid description of something that is usually taken as something atrocious. It shows you appreciate natural beauty. I especially enjoy the last two lines, it pulls it all together.

I like the way the words run into each others meaning and show me the way to the end. Great read!
