Go with my blessing 2010

The  Jesus freaks are out in force.

Because it’s Sunday morn of course.

They are convinced that they are right

I find it hard to be polite.

Although I can respect their views.

They do not have the right to choose

To ring my bell and pester me.

I keep my Sunday mornings free.

To do the things I want to do.

I do not want to listen to

 their view of Christianity.

Because it makes no sense to me.

They do not seem to understand

that they must leave when I demand.

I like to keep my property

free from religious bigotry..

I don't like people enforcing their views on my but I also don't want my right to talk about the God I believe in to be unacceptable. The flow of this poem is good and I myself don't want people pestering me at home about their view and I try to respect others but in this people have to respect me as well. I don't send Christian poems to those I know don't believe and have asked me not to but you can't expect people not to talk about their views in front of you.

I like it...People trying to impose their view on religion is quite....I can't think of the word. But i like this a lot. Let it be a message.

YES!
Lest not ye be judged...
People in glass houses...
OR
If you are truly a person of faith, than don't be a hypocrite and say that your way of thinking is the only way. I am with you on this, great thought & poem~

I don't actually mind the door-knockers, oddly enough. The ones I've met have been very polite. xD

Great piece of work, though. A lot of fun to read. ^^

I agree. I don't like people who force their religious views onto others.

A short funny which I have not taken too seriously but a fun to read piece nevertheless!

LOL! well i can't say that i warm to an encounter with the above mentioned, but then i have had some pretty wild (and unpleasant) "religious experiences." I TRY to go by the two rules for happy living espoused by Hubbard:

1. Cause only those things others can easily experience
2. Be willing to experience anything

But that isn't always as easy as it sounds!!! My grandfather once had a Davidian show up on his doorstep and ask to live with him "so i can learn from your unique philosophy of life Mr Shreve." He let the guy live there for about 5-6 months apparently before he sent him packing! Ah but those were simpler days ;~)

I particularly like the directness and "diplomacy" of your write. Nice!

Well stated, right to the point. Couldn't agree more.
