Go with my blessing 2010

The  Jesus freaks are out in force.

Because it’s Sunday morn of course.

They are convinced that they are right

I find it hard to be polite.

Although I can respect their views.

They do not have the right to choose

To ring my bell and pester me.

I keep my Sunday mornings free.

To do the things I want to do.

I do not want to listen to

 their view of Christianity.

Because it makes no sense to me.

They do not seem to understand

that they must leave when I demand.

I like to keep my property

free from religious bigotry..

I enjoyed this poem...I don't like it when people come to my door advertizing their religion.

I feel the same way - It's annoying how they constantly pester and judge and damn you. Love this. The rhyming is clever and your words make me laugh.
Great work!

Haha, spectacular! It was enough that this made me smile. Oh Bible thumpers, come this way not.

Dude I'm a christian right but you are sooo correct.
That's the sad part...

Good write and the rhyming just makes it that much more sarcastic haha... :)

I've got to say, I smirked at your work. It's often times what I think when people like that come knocking at my door, but I give them a chance because I still don't understand even though they have explained this over and over. I will continue to let them in till the day it finally clicks. Then I can yell at them in their own words and tell them to stick it where the sun don't shine ^^

Well I don't share these views because I am a Christian, I am not religious, but I have a relationship with Jesus Christ. Not everyone that comes to your door has the right information, they are just trying to get you to except a religion rather than a relationship with Christ. I too have been visited by people who claim to know Jesus, but I share my faith with them and they respect that. I believe everyone has the right to believe in whatever it is they want to believe and I don't go on networks like this one blasting people like them. I rather be Jesus freak than a devil worshiper anytime. I praise God, he is my everything and I will continue to praise Him regardless of what people have to say.

But...
Would you, could you, on a whim
Let me guide you 'way from sin?
Sundays aren't for sleeping late,
But for tooling keys for Heaven's gate.
If you permit me to come in,
I might earn my 'Prophet Pin';
And with that pin, I've heard it said,
That Sundays...I could stay in bed!
...and then, we could both sleep late--
Wouldn't that be...uhhhh, just great?

Sorry...you made me laugh; and I went on a Seussian tangent.
