Keep right on to the end of the road.

Keep right on to the end of the road.

A Poem by Poeticpiers
"

narrative verse in rhyming quatrains

"

Keep right on to the end of the road.

Perhaps I dreamt or did I wake?
To see a new reality.
I was not sure which road to take.

To seek familiarity.

Or strike out blindly in the hope.

I’d be successful in my quest.

I tossed a coin, let fate decide

How quickly and which way to go.

and by fates choice I would abide.

There was no way that I could know.

I struck out blindly in the hope

I’d be successful in my quest.

For what I sought I did not know

But was aware that I must try

Quite confident that fate would show

me the way,the how and why.

I walked on blindly in the hope.

I’d be successful in my quest.

I travelled on untrodden ways

Which rarely saw the feet of men.

Continuing forward always.

Each day my journey starts again.

I do not need to see to hope

I’ll be successful in my quest.

I am quite sure I will arrive

Exactly where I’m meant to be.

Although for now I have to strive.

I’ll reach my goal eventually.

Though I have nothing but my hope

to be successful in my quest.

I will walk on and not look back.

Stick to the choice fate made for me

and overcome each sly attack.

By doubts bent on deterring me

What need have I for   aught but hope

to be successful in my quest.

Now I grow old my pace is slow

I’m sure I’m near my journeys end.

and very soon I’ll get to know

the truth on which I can depend.

I’ve journeyed on buoyed up by hope

to learn the purpose of my quest.

Though what I learn I cannot share.

You have no way to contact me.

For you are here and I somewhere.

Enjoying endless liberty.

Mystery to the end, only catching just a glimpse in the words, and we are off again. Seems like I am the same, starting another thought just as the last one gets written onto the page.
