War has passed this way.

 

Silent temple bells

No one left alive to worship.

War has passed this way.

 

Churches stand empty

It is too late for prayers.

War has passed this way.

 

God is forgotten

 in the struggle to survive

 war has passed this way.

 

Anarchy now rules

every man for himself

War has passed this way.

 

The world will know peace

only when the last man is dead.

Then wars will pass away.
