Some you win,some you lose

Some you win,some you lose

Narrative verse

Some you win, some you lose

I used to go for interviews.
Just as a hobby more or less
which served to reinforce my views
That interviewers know far less.

Than interviewers ought to do.
Gave me an edge because I knew
I could control the interview.
I found it added something to

The role of the interviewee.
I asked what they could offer me.
Which confused them apparently.
hey were dumbfounded I could see.

If the offered to employ me.
I would not accept instantly
but stated I would let them know.
Though it might take a day or so.

I only counted as success
The ones who spotted I knew less
about the vacancy than they
and briskly sent me on my way.

All valuable experience
which I would later put to use
 in building up my confidence.
For any real life interviews

on which my future might depend.
I realised that in the end.
That interviewers generally
 approach their task tentatively.

This was witty. I enjoyed the humor and the real life application.

:)) Unusual theme for a poem, but I like it nevertheless.
The cadence id great, makes it ,,flow,, easily.
