Interpretation is everything.

 

I wonder if the words I write.

Convey the message I intend

 or must my messages depend

on how you read: What you perceive,

 perhaps I’m failing to achieve

what I attempt and lose a friend.

Although I edit and amend

 the thoughts and ideas I conceive.

The words I choose sometimes confuse

and lead my readership astray.

Excuses are of little use

it seem that when I try to say.

Something contrary to your views

You close your mind and turn away

I think our writes are so easy to misinterpret. We can't really control that. No matter what or how we write, there will always be someone that may get the wrong idea because of their belief system differing. I just write from the heart and leave the rest to the higher power.

My daughter always says that if an issue needs to be confronted, she will always try to do it in person for the simple fact that writing something doesn't always convey the correct feelings one is trying to portray and may cause misinterpretation.

I enjoy your writing so I am not going anywhere....I like being vague sometimes just to get a different perspective on something I wrote however, I know that all read my words through their own conditioning and life experiences. Sometimes we push an unintended button. however I leave with this,
