Fatal Error 08

The suicidal moths attack.
Small kami kazi volunteers,
There is no way to hold them back.
The moment that a light appears.
The lanterns on the Patio
 are very soon surrounded by
Frantic moths ready to go
and meet their maker in the sky.
I sit and watch them quietly
and wonder if they know they’ll die
But it remains a mystery
to me I see no reason why.
Perhaps they’re dying by mistake.
The very last that they will make.

Wow. I will never look at light bugs at an outside restaurant the same way. Suicidal bombers never knowing they're commiting suicide....wonderful write...I see them in my minds eye....

This is powerful. It's small and has an amusing tone to it, probably encouraged by the iambic pentameter, yet it raises profound questions about the purpose of this seemingly forgettable behavior of the Moth. These poems are often the most credible types. The old saying less is more comes to mind. You have created a mysterious focal point from which a reader can ponder some of the things that perplex us.
