Voyage to...

Voyage to...

A Poem by Marvin Lewis Jr.

 Voyage to...

Is it okay if I look into your eyes,

is it strange that I find myself daydreaming of your

smile and how I want to frame it or during the day how

my mind rewinds back to the conversation we had last

night?

Do you mind if I call you my daytime?

Your beauty is pure it stands by itself its undefiled

its so obvious like daytime.

It makes me feel that God really loves me because He

caused you to be mine,

considering that you are the

epitome of creativity that grows within His mind.

Should I be concerned?

Because whenever we talk there is no time,

what I comprehend as 30 seconds really is about 3

hours and these last couple of days feel like 2

minutes,

for every raindrop during a monsoon God has given you

an adorable facial expression let me see one.

I just wish I was there when God set that special time

aside to create you,

just to sit aloof with a pen and an empty notebook and

write while He mixed your fragrance, painted your face

with gorgeous, molded your body to perfect, then

breathed life in you...

But I wasn't so just marveling at

the finished product for as long as I can will do.

There a so few guys left in the world that know how to treat a lady. Is it okay, Do you mind, these are terms of great admiration and respect for her feelings. This piece has a light and airy feel to it with outstanding flow, and there is great emotion to be gleaned at the foundation of each verse. This is simply a great piece of writing, and has an almost old world texture to it that is not often seen in most modern poetry. Very well done!

All of your poetry has a great flow to it as if the reader is witnessing a gentle stream.
It takes me by surprise because everytime I read the poem I invision you saying this to
open a relationship. It's like your side to a beautiful conversation without waiting for a
reply. The questions you ask all have an underlying feeling to them of 'can you let me just....'
that kind of innocent longing makes your verses all the more elegant. We're able to really
feel and enjoy the topic of this which is defiantly gorgeous. Great poem!

More classic poetry being revealed right before our eyes!
